A tribute to my dad, Ken Davis Sr. 1924 - 2006
On April 18th 2006, my dad, Ken Davis Senior, was promoted from the Alzheimer's ward of a veteran's hospital to Eternal Life with his beloved Lord. He was a man who beat all the odds. My dad was a survivor of the Bataan Death March. After being released from three years of captivity in a Japanese prison camp, he was so starved and riddled with disease that he was told he wouldn't live past 50.

He lived to age 82. He was told he would not be able to have children. He had five children. Okay, we may not be normal, but we are here against all the odds. We miss him so much. Finally, against all odds he trusted Christ in early adulthood and cheated death. Today he lives in Heaven and my sisters and I look forward to seeing him again. I love you Dad. You are my Hero. More of the story of my father's amazing experience can be found in my book, Lighten Up. Don't miss the chapter entitled "The executioners song."
