Two new grandbabies have arrived since our last Punchline. Jadyn Tayler Scheer was born to our daughter, Traci, and her husband, Brian, on October 6th, right after the last issue of Punchline went out. She was born smiling, and now, almost one year later, she still hasn’t stopped. When she was tiny, I would come into the room and every limb on her body would start to move. My daughter said it was her desperate attempt to run, but I don’t believe it because now she has started walking, and she doesn’t run away. She comes right to me. We feel very fortunate. For a short period, the doctors told us that Jadyn had a disease that would require a transplant and would eventually take her life. Praise God they were wrong! She is a walking, talking, smiling, miracle.

AND… We have a new Grandson! Bailey Eric Fowler was born to our daughter, Taryn, and her husband, Scott, on August 18th. He and his brother are so handsome. I can see that my genes have passed from generation to generation. Yeah, right! The only thing they got from me is wrinkles. This little boy is only two weeks old as I write this. My heart is full of love, my wallet is empty of cash, and I love it. I adore these children and pray that God will be the center of their lives. That’s the foundation that will allow them to face anything life brings their way.
